Shh..cutting through the noise
There’s a lot of noise out there.
Every time you open your phone, someone is telling you what you should be doing to your body. What to eat. What not to eat. Which supplement will change your life. Which workout you’re behind on. Which beauty treatment you must book before it’s too late.
It’s exhausting.
Somewhere along the way, wellbeing stopped being about feeling better and started feeling like another full-time job. One more thing to keep up with. One more way to feel like you’re failing.
Sometimes, all you really want to say is: shh.
A moment of quiet.
A reset.
A chance to remember what actually matters.
The pressure to do it all
There’s a particular pressure on women — especially in our 30s and beyond — to have everything figured out.
Be healthy.
Be fit.
Look young.
Progress at work.
Build a family.
Maintain friendships.
Optimise your hormones.
Optimise your skin.
Optimise your sleep.
Optimise your life.
And do it all effortlessly.
But real life doesn’t work like that. And real health certainly doesn’t.
Trying to follow every new protocol, trend, or “miracle” that appears on your screen doesn’t make you healthier — it usually just makes you more anxious.
Back to basics — the things that actually move the needle
Cutting through the noise doesn’t mean doing less because you don’t care.
It means doing less because you do.
It means focusing on the fundamentals that are proven, sustainable, and actually make a difference over time.
Diet
Not perfection. Not restriction. Just eating real food most of the time, enough protein, enough fibre, enough nourishment to support your body — not punish it.
Sleep
The most underrated health tool we have. You don’t need a £400 sleep tracker to know when you’re exhausted. Protect your sleep. It pays you back.
Movement
Not chasing every new workout trend. Just moving regularly, building strength, keeping your body capable for the long run.
Relationships
Time with people who matter. Conversations that ground you. Laughter. Support. These things are not “extras” — they are essential to longevity.
Beauty & supplements
Not everything. Just the things that are tested, evidence-based, and actually right for you. More is not better. Smarter is better.
You don’t need everything — you need what works
Wellbeing isn’t about collecting routines. It’s about creating rhythms you can live with.
You don’t need to try every supplement.
You don’t need every treatment.
You don’t need to optimise every hour of your day.
You need clarity.
You need consistency.
You need space to listen to your body instead of scrolling past it.
This is the path of pothŵ
At POTHW, we believe wellbeing should feel supportive — not stressful. Honest — not overwhelming. Intentional — not performative.
This is about cutting through the noise and choosing the things that truly support a longer, healthier, more connected life.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your health isn’t adding more.
It’s pausing.
Breathing.
And quietly saying:
Shh.
