Who we are
pothŵ was created out of the need to cut through the noise — and get back to what actually matters.
I grew up on a small Greek island, dreaming of the big city. Like so many of us, I thought “success” meant making it in the corporate world. And for a while, I chased that life — the career, the achievements, the fast pace. But over time, the dream started to fade. The pressure of keeping up, performing, and looking like I had it all together — while quietly burning out — became too much.
Trying to look after myself while maintaining a busy work life felt like two worlds constantly colliding. And I know I’m not alone in that.
There’s an exhausting amount of pressure on women in their 30s to do it all: start a family, look like you're 20, exercise, eat perfectly, stay thin, take a dozen supplements, chase career goals, follow beauty trends, hit all the right biomarkers and somehow still make time for a social life. It's unrealistic. It's unsustainable. And it’s leaving a lot of us overwhelmed, confused, and disconnected from what our bodies actually need.
At many points, I remember thinking: I just want the world to be quiet for a minute.
I wanted to press pause. Breathe. Reset.
That’s why I created pothw — which comes from the Greek verb ποθώ, meaning “to desire.” It’s a space for women to tune out the chaos and tune back into what’s real. To focus on health that actually matters. To find strength, clarity, and community — without the pressure to be perfect.
Last year, everything changed for me. I lost my father to cancer after caring for him alongside my brother for two years. That experience — painful, and deeply human — was a turning point. It reminded me how fragile and precious our health really is. How important early checks and prevention are. And how, in the end, it’s time with the people we love that means the most.
I want pothŵ to be a place where we talk about those things. Where we support each other — emotionally, practically, and honestly.
Because caring for ourselves isn’t selfish. It’s essential.
This is for the women who are tired of the noise.
Who want clarity instead of trends.
Who want to live longer — and live well.
You’re not alone. You’re not behind.
You’re right on time.
And I’m so glad you’re here.
